A guerra por vir

Treino anti epidemias virais na Bielo-Russia

Contagem decrescente?

A superioridade militar norte-americana é esmagadora.

Notas

1. (16/02/07) "As anticipated last January in GEAB N°11, the « fog of statistics » is now clearing and US economic trends appears clearly (retail sales at a standstill in January 2007, record high trade deficit in 2006, downward revision of US growth for 2006, Fed's confirmation of economic slowdown, serial defaults among mortgage lending organisations, continued collapse of US housing market,...). Therefore, according to LEAP/E2020, and contingent on the specific evolution of each component of the US economy, the month of April will account for the inflexion point of the impact phase of the global systemic crisis, that is to say the moment when all negative consequences of the crisis pile up exponentially. More precisely, April will be the time when negative trends will converge, transforming many « sectorial crises » into a generalised crisis, a « very great depression », involving all economic, financial, commercial and political players.

In April 2007, nine practical consequences of the unfolding crisis will converge:

1. Acceleration of the pace and size of bankruptcies among US financial organisations: from one per week today to one per day in April
2. Spectacular rise of US home foreclosures: 5 million Americans out on the street
3. Accelerating collapse of housing prices in the US: - 25%
4. Entry into recession of the US economy in April 2007
5. Precipitous rate cut by the US Federal Reserve
6. Growing importance of China-USA trade conflicts
7. China's shift out of US dollars / Yen carry trade reversal
8. Sudden drop of US dollar value against Euro, Yuan and Yen
9. Tumble of Sterling Pound"

Algumas leituras oportunas:

"The former Soviet Union disintegrated after attacking Afghanistan. It created a train of events that eventually led to the birth of Al Qaeda. We will wait and see what the United States attack on Iraq means for the future of the United States. In the meanwhile, it has created 50 new terrorist organisations."

(...) Approximately 400 millions died in the wars of the last two millennia. About 100 million of them died in the last century alone. If a major war takes place in this century, and if it escalates to such an extent that some of the players use nuclear weapons, we can foresee at least 4 or 5 times these deaths sometime in the next few decades. A world moving towards a war is also bound to neglect poverty, health, climate change and other priorities of human development. Such policy neglect will result in the death of at least 500 million children in the next 50 years at the current rate. Thus, we face the prospect of about a billion people being killed for no fault of their own if our leaders do not make conflict prevention and poverty alleviation their top priorities – in particular conflict prevention involving the big powers. -- Sundeep Waslekar. "Preventing Global Conflicts". February 27, 2007

(...) we are already deep in a New Cold War, which literally threatens the future of life on this planet. The debacle in Iraq, or the prospect of a US tactical nuclear pre-emptive strike against Iran are ghastly enough. In comparison to what is at play in the US global military build up against its most formidable remaining global rival, Russia, they loom relatively small. The US military policies since the end of the Soviet Union and emergence of the Republic of Russia in 1991 are in need of close examination in this context. Only then do Putin’s frank remarks on February 10 at the Munich Conference on Security make sense.

(...) A new Armageddon is in the making. The unilateral military agenda of Washington has predictably provoked a major effort by Russia to defend herself. The prospects of a global nuclear conflagration, by miscalculation, increase by the day. At what point might an American President, God forbid, decide to order a pre-emptive full-scale nuclear attack on Russia to prevent Russia from rebuilding a state of mutual deterrence?

The new Armageddon is not exactly the Armageddon which George Bush's Christian fanatics pray for as they dream of their Rapture. It is an Armageddon in which Russia and the United States would irradiate the planet and, perhaps, end human civilization in the process." -- F William Engdahl -- "Putin and the Geopolitics of the New Cold War: Or what happens when Cowboys don`t shoot straight like they used to ..." . February 18, 2007

"Can anyone stop them? Possibly. There is the now widespread and quite vocal resistance within the armed forces. For the first time in my lifetime, I have seen speculation in the press about a military coup. I doubt it would occur, but the very speculation shows how extensive are the misgivings."
-- Immanuel Wallerstein - "Bush's Healong Rush Into Iran" . February 15, 2007

Outubro 1, 2006
