Imagem do virus H1Ni in Wikipedia.

- Novel H1N1 Flu: Facts and Figures
... How many people have been infected with novel H1N1 flu?
A CDC model was developed to try to determine the true number of novel H1N1 flu cases in the United States. The model took the number of cases reported by states and adjusted the figure to account for known sources of underestimation (for example; not all people with novel H1N1 flu seek medical care, and not all people who seek medical care have specimens collected by their health care provider). Using this approach, it is estimated that more than one million people became ill with novel H1N1 flu between April and June 2009 in the United States. The details of this model and the modeling study will be submitted for publication in a peer reviewed journal. — in CDC - Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (USA). - Debunking False Media Claims on the 2009 H1N1 Vaccine (Flu.gov / October 14, 2009)
Myth: Healthy people are not vulnerable to dying from the new 2009 H1N1 virus.
Fact: Both healthy people and people with underlying conditions, such as asthma and diabetes and other chronic diseases, are vulnerable to the 2009 H1N1 flu. CDC studies have shown that about 70 percent of people who have been hospitalized with this 2009 H1N1 virus have had one or more medical conditions previously recognized as placing people at “high risk” of serious seasonal flu-related complications. That leaves 30% of those hospitalized in the previously healthy category. The 2009 H1N1 flu has especially affected young people ages 5 to 24. A recent study of by the New England Journal of Medicine of 272 hospitalized H1N1 patients showed that although 60% of the children who were hospitalized had an underlying condition, the remaining 40 percent had no underlying condition. Since April, 81 children who contracted 2009 H1N1 flu have died.

- Swine flu jab link to killer nerve disease: Leaked letter reveals concern of neurologists over 25 deaths in America
By Jo Macfarlane (Last updated at 11:05 PM on 15th August 2009)
A warning that the new swine flu jab is linked to a deadly nerve disease has been sent by the Government to senior neurologists in a confidential letter.
The letter from the Health Protection Agency, the official body that oversees public health, has been leaked to The Mail on Sunday, leading to demands to know why the information has not been given to the public before the vaccination of millions of people, including children, begins.
It tells the neurologists that they must be alert for an increase in a brain disorder called Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS), which could be triggered by the vaccine. - Now legal immunity for swine flu vaccine makers.
by F. William Engdahl
The US Secretary of Health and Human Services, Kathleen Sebelius, has just signed a decree granting vaccine makers total legal immunity from any lawsuits that result from any new “Swine Flu” vaccine. Moreover, the $7 billion US Government fast-track program to rush vaccines onto the market in time for the Autumn flu season is being done without even normal safety testing. Is there another agenda at work in the official WHO hysteria campaign to declare so-called H1N1 a pandemic virus threat?
First and foremost, neither the WHO nor the CDC or any other scientific body has demonstrated required scientific proof for the existence of the alleged H1N1 Influenza A new virus, a proof which requires such a virus to be scientifically isolated, characterized and photographed with an electron microscope—the scientifically accepted standard procedure. Yet it is being used as the basis for declaring a global “pandemic” threat.
The current official panic campaign over alleged Swine Flu danger is rapidly taking on the dimensions of a George Orwell science fiction novel. ... There is ample evidence, documented in numerous reports, that the WHO's level 6 pandemic alert is based on fabricated evidence and a manipulation of the figures on mortality and morbidity resulting from the N1H1 swine flu. — in Global Research, 26-07-2009. - 2 new moms in Bay Area die from swine flu; concern raised about risk for pregnant women
Swine-flu virus has claimed the lives of two Bay Area women who recently gave birth, adding to the growing body of evidence that pregnancy puts women at increased risk of flu-related hospitalization and death.
News of the deaths comes as the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that pregnant women be among the first to receive a vaccine, when it's available. The CDC also urges that anti-viral drugs like Tamiflu or Relenza be quickly administered to pregnant women with suspected influenza. — in MercuryNews.com (31-07-2009). - Pregnancy likely to be swine flu shot priority
ATLANTA — Swine flu has been hitting pregnant women unusually hard, so they are likely to be among the first group advised to get a new swine flu shot this fall.
Pregnant women account for 6 percent of U.S. swine flu deaths since the pandemic began in April, even though they make up just 1 percent of the U.S. population.
On Wednesday a federal vaccine advisory panel is meeting to take up the question of who should be first to get swine flu shots when there aren't enough for everyone. At the top of the list are health care workers, who would be crucial to society during a bad pandemic.
But pregnant women may be near the top of the list because they have suffered and died from swine flu at disproportionately high rates. - First picture of pregnant mother flown to Sweden for emergency swine flu treatment
A pregnant mother with swine flu was battling for her life last night after being flown to Sweden for emergency treatment.
Sharon Pentleton developed adult respiratory distress syndrome, a rare complication of swine flu.
She was taken to the Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm because a specialist five-bed NHS unit in Leicester was full.
